AMD 3700 Died?

you couldve booted into safe mode, and then removed Easy Tune from your startup (using Start > Run > MSCONFIG). this wouldve stopped Easy tune from starting at all.

In future, you are far better off reading the overclocking stickies and overclocking via your BIOS. ;)

bios would not sort it because it was done in software like overclocking your graphics cards

Indeed, which is why overclcoking is best done in the BIOS.

Those apps are notioriously iffy, and a pain to sort out if you go too far (like the OP)
