AMD 555 BE CPU query

i think i should upgrade the heatsink and fan from the stock AMD one

im looking at the ARTIC COOLING FREEZER PRO v2

Don't, they're not much better than stock coolers, just more silent.
Grab the zalman 9700 if they still have them in stock for the 17.99 offer (normal price of this was 40+ not long ago and it's a great cooler).

Is ocuk going to stock some of this 555 as well? anyone know? Just waiting for that to give me a final push...

I've mentioned this on new item props forum about 2 weeks ago and didn't have any response yet so I guess they won't. They probably bought 2 tons of I3s so they gotta get rid of those first haha.

CPU clock, CPU Multiplier, HT clock, NB Clock and Memory bus in Everest have always been up and down all the time since I changed to an AMD board and a 7850 BE.
C1E and any other form of cpu control never been setup.
C1E does not even work on my cpu anyway

keeps my load temps in the mid thirties at 3.7GHz

The stock cooler could likely do that puma. 3.7Ghz on mine needs about 1.35v, thats about a 0.025v voltage boost over stock.

last night whilst playing GTA 4 for the first time without it constantly freezing for 5 seconds (555 in standard dual mode)

it ran fine now i have the other 2 cores working, however on the stock AMD cooler and fan (v small) it raised the temps to 60 degress C and set the bios alarm off

i set it to go off when temps hit 60, so as a safety guide. so obviously i shut down GTA 4 straight away and went back into windows.

this morning ive been out and bought a Freezer Pro Rev. 2, for £15. So i will see how i get on with that. Bios temp says CPU was at 32c after installation obv.
