Likely price was a place holder.
Issue is mining as if you price lower miners buy all cards.
(they still do but now you get paid more)

Beat me to it. Retailers who list unreleased products often use made up prices as a placeholder until the launch when the real launch price is revelled. After that prices will creep up once the initial batch sells out.
