I was wondering if anyone could help me over-clocking a AMD 760K for my GF's Gaming rig?

So far I have just used the EZ OC MODE tool BIOS tool by ASROCK and just clicked on the 4500MHz option, and following settings.

EZ OC MODE = CPU OC MODE
Load Optimized CPU OC Setting = 4500MHz
Over clock Mode = Auto
Spread Spectrum = Auto
AMD Turbo Core Technology = Disabled
Current APM Status = Disabled
AMD Application Power Manger = Disabled
Processor Max Frequency = 6300Mhz
Processor Max Voltage = 1.55v
Multiplier/Voltage Changer = Manual
CPU Frequency Multiplier = x45.0 4500MHz
CPU Voltage = 1.45v
CPU Voltage Offset = +0%
CPU NB Frequency Multiplier = x9.0 1800Mhz
CPU NB GFX Voltage = 1.275v

This give me the following results after a hour of Prime95, but thinking 81c may be a bit spicy?

Im using a ASROCK FM2A88X-ITX+ and H80 for cooling (set with 2 of the 3 lights on).

I'm sure that under AMD Athlon the temps are wrong because my A8-5600k says its running at 106c when primed,

But at the top where it says CPUTIN mine is 56c

I think it is the same for your situation because hw monitor doesn't read the temps correctly.

Is there another program I can use to check the temps then, as if your right 43c seems really low for a 760k under full load OC'ed to 4.5Mhz, unless the H80 is amazing? (first time using a H80)

I don't know of any that read amd cpu's temps correctly,

But 43c does seem low for a overclocked cpu.

Maybe someone else on the forum may know of a program to use.

Was advised to read socket temperature with my motherboard's software, and read thermal margin with AMD Overdrive.

So did that and at 4.5GHz OC using a H80 cooler I got the following results

ASRock A-Tuner
CPU Temp 29c
CPU Temp 42c (Running Prime95)

AMD Overdrive
Temperature Margin 70c
Temperature Margin 41c (Running Prime98)

So assuming this mean I can push on for a higher OC? (will wait for someone on here with more experience then me to get back to me before trying!)

What socket temperature is safe on the 760K, and how close can I safely get to its thermal margin?

I have my 760k at 4.7Ghz with voltage of 1.41875V with a LLC of 'Medium'. This is the highest I can go. I also found it hard to measure temps of the cpu so I decided to trust the Gigabyte Easy Tune 6 measurements as I have a Gigabyte motherboard. I have a h100i, what cooler do you have?

Edit: sorry I now see that you use h80
