Nvidia drove prices up with 5xxx series so the 7900XTX looked good value.Any idea why 7900 becoming an unicorn?
Let's be honest, we're long past the point where a new graphics card is even required.5xxx has been such a disappointing launch that buyers who had cash ready are now hoovering up certain 4xxx and 7xxx cards. Also looks like the margins are poor for 5xxx cards which is why they are going into pre-builts systems for better profit. We are long past the point where a new graphics card looks value for money.
same I was wondering that too.. maybe the benchmarks will answer that question for usIm wondering, and slightly puzzled about new amd 9070 increased power draw. Any ideas what benefits can this card get from extra power draw if its not supose to be better than 7900xtx
lol this is kinda true.. I am gaming on my RX570... at like low-ish settings 1440p at around 50-80fps depending on the game. You can dial down the graphic settings and it wont take anything away from enjoying the actual game. I've also been gaming a lot more on my rog ally portable handheld - again, everything running mostly on low settings to get a minimum of 60fps and games aren't any less fun. *contemplates the pc gamer ultra quality settings life*Let's be honest, we're long past the point where a new graphics card is even required.

There hasn't been any concrete information about what the real power consumption of the new cards will be, so it's not worth thinking too much about yet.Im wondering, and slightly puzzled about new amd 9070 increased power draw. But does AMD still making them?

I agree, unless you’re chasing high fps 4k, honestly even a 3080 Ti (for the 12GB vs 10GB on the 3080) will suffice… back when I got into computers during the GTX 400 series they just didn’t last as long before games brought them down to their knees
I am delighted with my 7900 xtx, great card!
It will certainly put out some FPS on that! I have been playing Fortnite and COD on mine at 1440p with all the bells and whistles on. Maxes out my monitors refresh rate of 165 no problem.Yep same here. I’m only really playing CS2 lately but the amount of fps im getting is absurd.
