Amd 7990 not working with AS Rock extreme7

Hi just bought a AMD 7990 and when i install it windows is not loading. when i reinstall my old card a 6970 everything works correctly. Any kind of help would be much appreciated

AS ROCK Z68 with I7-2700K

Have you updated the mobo bios? Did you uninstall the old drivers before attempting to install the new card?
