AMD 8.97 driver

Thanks will give these a test once I get home tonight. 12.4s didn't work correctly for me with the CCC.exe and MOM.exe taking ages to load up at startup. Once they finally did load it used to minimise my games so fingers crossed they have fixed that. Other than that they were faster than the 12.3's in some games.

Honestly, Quick for £220 quids worth of cards they have no issues with BF 3 All High with 4xMSAA i can vsync and get a solid 60fps. havn't tried much else yet but I'm very impressed so far. coming from a GTX 480 too!
 
Wonder if they will sort out the monitor sleep issues?

Will install tonight, but not sure how much chance will get to play as going to be playing with OCing my 3820.

You say that in every driver release, but from what I have tested from 12.2 to 12.4 there is only like 2fps in it, which could be down to margin of error, but in your defence I do have crossfire system, so the improvement might not be as apparent.

Edit, un installed the CAP and will test again. If that fails i'll reinstall the 12.4 beta with 8.96 and just try and update the 8.97 driver over the top....
Edit2 removed the CAP and it's now ok :]

They have still not fixed the second or third card being stuck in 3D mode at idle. Nice one AMD - nice one.

Your 7970 overclock is that with the Asus OC bios? Does it have higher vcore and aggressive fan profile or just unlocked upper limits in overdrive?

I don't get this issue, on 12.4 atm Locky and about to try these 8.97 drivers out. 6950 crossfire here unlocked and running @6970+ speeds.

Yes, unlocked Asus BIOS, clocks at 1150/1650 at 1.2v set in TRIXX and at +20% in CCC, auto stock fan profile.

Removed the AMD CAP from add/remove programs and BF3 is running fine now, will try a run of Heaven/Furmark to test.
