AMD 940BE with 4870 card

940 at 3.0 19,300
940 at 3.2 20,000
940 at 3.4 20,700


Does this mean that my chip was holding back the card? i.e. will I see better gaming performance if I OC the chip further?

The card is an ASUS DK 1000gb DDR thing, ´not overclocked.

try 06 and you can compare cpu score and gpu score a little better. what are your cpu temps with the noctura btw?

About 37-38 Celsuis idle and 54 under some Prime95 stressing.

Might sound a bit high, but I should add that our home is 23 Celsius. (During the winter the air is very dry up here, even with a humidifier on the go 24 hours a day. Dry air doesn't transfer heat so well, which means that you need more Celsius to feel warm at home).

I have exactly the same temps as you. And on Noctua. What thermal compound are you using?

Am using the tube that came with the Noctua. You?

But Mine is at 3.4Ghz with 1.4 volts to the chip. You're up at 3.72!
