AMD 955 BE only 2 cores being used in Windows?

Interesting fix. I've been having similar issues with my B50 X4 unlock showing 4 cores in bios & device manager but CPU-Z / msconfig refused to recognise them.

Were the additional cores showing up in device manager before you changed the msconfig setting?

Going to give this a go tonight, trying to avoid reinstalling windows out of pure laziness ;)

Yeah, my cores were showing in device manager - but only the first two worked. Glad to see this helped you - it certainly had me baffled! I think we both have Morlock to thank for this. :D

I thought that DDR3 was still doubling - I just didn't read the full post I guess.

It's double, hence the name DDR which stands for DOUBLE data rate.
So as long as there is a DDR in name the fsb is doubled.
