temps 45-46 while gaming

any help would be appreciated thanks.

If you've got an aftermarket cooler, the new AMD chips should be good up to about 1.45v or even higher. I wouldn't go any higher than that personally... my chip hits 50°C at the moment if i try and run it at any higher than 1.4v...

The 955 should be able to get 3.8 or even 4, since its stock clock is higher. Try a Prime95 test to see what temp it gets to after about an hour... The Heat boundary for current AMD chips is anywhere between 40 and 55°C.

Basically, anywhere that says "your voltage should be on..." is just a guideline. If yours is stable at that, then cool. If not, you've probably got a bit of space to boost it. Just keep an eye on your temps. If they hit 55 within a few minutes, then you need to stop and lower the voltage.

well cod 4 just crashed and pc rebooted so i think its the voltage cause the temps seemed fine and wernt fluctuating were like 46c after 30mins of cod4

at the mo just going by upping multi to 18

at 3.5 everything at stock fine been gaming on this for few days and cool.

do i need to up the just the cpu vid and the nb or just the cpu as at 3.6 thats fine not going for no more.

Got the Ultima Warlord off here a while back. It's clocked to 3.8. Have had a lot of problems with it resetting etc. The overclock settings it came with were multiplier 19, FSB 200, and CPU voltage 1.52. Idle temps were mid 50's and running Prime the temps shot up to 80 really quick and reset. Have lowered the multiplier to 18, FSB to 206, and voltage now sits at 1.48 and temps have reduced a bit to 47 idle. The cooler that came with it was the Akasa Nero but have ordered the Corsair H50 to see if that helps a bit. Also put in 2 Noctua 120mm fans recently so will see what the H50 does for me.

well has anyone got same board cause when i try and change cpu voltage it wont let me

maybe nneed to update bios or something else im missing.

mb is Asus M4A785TD-V Evo AMD 785G
