Hey guys,

Having issues with my newly installed AMD A6-3670k apu.

I randomly get the screen freezing and then goes black or sometimes goes to the blue screen... to which i get a error message:

"display driver stopped responding and has recovered"

What i have tried so far...

- Updated the display driver to the latest version.
- Tried changing the screen resolution,
- Uninstalled and re-installed the drivers, (Also using driver sweeper)
- Tested the Ram with memtest86?
- Bought a new 700w PSU
- New install of Windows 7

Really at a lost on what it could be, I have read online about the HD audio can cause driver conflicts but that was no help!

Anyone had this before or have any ideas what it could be?

Thanks in advance,

Dioufy

What's your full system specs?

Is the driver crash really random or does it happen when there's load on the IGP?

Tried updating the BIOS on the motherboard to see if that helps?

Hey, Thanks for the reply!

I have updated the BIOS to the latest available.

My specs are:

AMD - 3670k cpu
8gb Corsair ram
F1A55-M - Motherboard
700w Psu

Only game i play atm is Fm13 and it always happens when i play that, Making the game unplayable!

i had exactly the same problem last year, it took me ages to figure out what was going on as i assumed it was a problem with gfx card - turned out to be faulty RAM

i'm not sure if this is the reason for your problem just giving you past experience

it could be anything :(

A possibility, the GPU part of that APU rely's the the System RAM, its uses it as vRAM, if its not absolutely stable it will cause the Driver to crash just as the Driver would crash if there was something wrong with the vRAM on a descrete GPU.

If you have an overclock on the RAM re-adjust it, failing that, if you have more than one module take one out and test, then test with the other only... try different ones in different DIMM's....

Hey man, Thanks for this it worked!

What i did was, Tried each ram 1 by 1 and booted up FM13 (Always got the error on this) And now it's fine.

It seem's 2 of the pieces of ram don't work/function correctly and was causing the issue. Corsair 4 x 2gb sticks at 1333mhz. So now i'm down to 4gb.

Can anyone recommend me 8gb or more ram?

Cheers for all your helps guys:)
