AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ (Socket 939) - Retail £211.49

Its actually amazing that there are any 939 X2's still available ... after all a couple of weeks before AMD's (pre-announced) major price reduction 18 months ago I seem to recall Gibbo posting here that sources of 939's we rapidly running out and it was likely that all X2's would have disappeared before the price was reduced ... as a result I grabbed a single core 3800 (they had had their prices reduced a month earlier) rather than risk missing out on the X2 processor I'd really intended to go for!

thats the exact processor i bought, paid 270 pounds for mine (including postage), from amazon i think, a very long time ago, prob a bad idea. its high prob because n1 produces it, and they only have 9 left, so put the price up, and see if it sells, after a while, sell it for like 40 and be done with it, i mean after all its only taking up 1 html page ?

Has to be a typo. Unless the same guy who priced the Wii has priced this;)

HI there

I price up the products, the 4400 is priced high simply because they pretty much don't exist and therefor people will buy them at such prices, why I don't know but they do.

We sell the 3800 X2 on 939 for peanuts in comparison.

In regard to Wii pricing well they cost ourselves well over £200+VAT so were not going to sell them at a loss. Unfortunately people just assume were making a packet unfortunately were not simply because there is no UK product available traders/suppliers are bringing them over from Europe and then selling them onto us Etailors at high margins.

Its a simple case of if we don't stock them then we loose potential sales. When we do stock them everybody moans about the price.

However I've now taken the decision to stop stocking the Wii until either UK stock comes available again which is about £100 cheaper for us to buy in or until some of the suppliers/traders drop their pricing. The last price I was quoted too replenish my stock was £253+VAT and as such I've turned it away.

OcUK won't stock any more Wii's until we can buy at either UK official pricing or much lower pricing from traders/suppliers as its simply not worth the greif and complaints we got regarding the price, but at the same time were not going to sell them at a loss either when resources have been put into sourcing them and ordering them in.
