Does anybody have any ideas or help guides for these things? I've seen a few builds posted around the Internet the last few days and they have hooked me. Id love to tinker with this stuff and even build a case for it to go in etc.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post.

There is a discord community you can join and a github and help page. Note that you will likely need to mess about and enjoy tinkering. I have been tempted to get one myself but would likely get it all working and then never use it.

Have a look at:

Just an FYI, from what I have seen of these there is no Windows drivers so it has to be Linux.

I watched this video on it the other day

Yea thats the video that got me tbh. She annoyed me drawing me in for a "built this to get rid of all my streaming apps" video and didn't do any of tue illegal stuff i wanted to see lmao.

Yea i am seriously considering linux. Don't want my government to be forcing other companies to track me without telling me. Although I am probably already too late.

people have been doing this for long while now, its great alternative to steam machine, and was tempted myself but I have no use for what is basically 7600xt and 6 zen 2 cores. You can unlock the extra disabled cores. If it was possible to run windows on it then I would have built one as extra pc.

Unlocking the extra cores achieves virtually nothing as the board is completely CPU limited.

I know of several very frank, very honest looks at it.

It’s not a powerhouse. Literally build it if you want something to do, or have no gaming PC at all. I use mine to play older games as it uses far less power than any of my high end PCs. It makes a great basic TV game box.

As much as i want to do this it feels bad buying one of these for 150 quid ish when they could be had easily for 50 quid a year ago...

I never saw them at £50. £70 was about the cheapest…

Even at £150 they’re a bargain BUT as I mentioned above only if you need one. Not want, need.

Of course there are other reasons (if you fancy a challenge or want to try Bazzite without using your existing PC) but yeah, as I said it’s only really worth doing if you have a use for it.

As of now I’m using it more than any other PC I have. I fancy playing older games rn as nothing appeals to me and it uses by far the least amount of power out of anything I have. At full pelt and allowed to eat my 5090 rig eats around £8 in leccy for a 6-7 hour gaming session. I couldn’t even afford it right now.

I wants one and put it under water. But then I also want a small and cheap GPU so I'm not running Timberborn at 20fps on my piddly little Quadro P400
