Amd Beta driver 15.4 installing as 14.5?

Hi everyone just wondered if someone here with a R9 series card could tell me what there 15.4 beta driver version is showing as?. I've installed 15.4 for gta. But only just noticed after poor performance that catalyst and device manager is showing as 14.5 still?.

Did you install any leak driver from guru3D?

Mine shows as 15.4 also, how did you remove your previous drivers ?

I just done the normal way using the AMD Catalyst Install Manager in the Programs and Features, selecting Express Uninstall All.

If i go into software update mine says 14.5 but if I go into software then it says 15.4. Sure you are looking at the software tab?

Removed all previous drivers with ddu. Just tried again in safe mode still no luck? Still with driver 14.5

Its not the first time a beta driver has been released and the version number not changed properly - *cough Nvidia*

Have you tried just installing over the top ?, and if the Packaging Version shows as this :- 14.502.1014-150331a1-182333E, then you will have the 15.4s on, so id say the Catalyst Version, just isn't updating for some reason.

Should look like this for the 15.4s.

Oh wow, I somehow had the wrong drivers installed. No wonder GTA was running so poor for me. That driver exe is even named as the 15.4 beta. After sorting it out the difference is like night and day.
