Spend your money on something that'll make an actual difference.

I use a 1000 mb/s LAN connection that is slower than my wifi because 1) 2.5G lan is expensive for my pocket and 2) it makes little difference really. The snappiness of LAN is so much more important to me than net throughput.

I notice a difference with PUBG and my VMs. Yes, my downloads can't max out at 1gb/s but my ping is roughly 8ms lower with PUBG and I don't need to worry about drop outs or interference.
