AMD CPU Price Drop - Rumour? - Has it happened?

Hi,

Read some reports\rumours that there will be a price drop on some of the AMD processors.

But the rumours also mention it will happen on the Monday that has just gone.

Just wondering whether it has happened, or whether it is just conjecture.

Particularly interested in the FX6300. This can be had for just over £90 at the moment.

There are plenty of etailers selling for much more so wondering whether that is a new reduced price or just a competitive price.

If the price drop is still to happen what do you think we will see?

An E-tailer mentioned a price drop, they dropped it to 80 quid, the FX6300 that is, but by Monday it was 97 quid.

So who knows.

According to this article there was supposed to be a 8-15% price drop on certain AMD cpu's at the end of April in preparation for the launch of new cpu's at the end of May/early June.

Two new FX cpu's (4350, 6350) are supposed to be launched today as well.

Still not seen any movement this week.

Prices vary between £90 and £105.

The rumours were suggesting that prices would be dropping the monday just gone (29/4/2013).

So is £90 the reduced price or is the drop still to come through.

Apologies for the question, but I've only just started looking at prices this week so I've nothing to compare against (for all I know they might have been £100-£115 last week).
