Do we know yet whether AMDs new 2013 cpu's will work in a FM2 motherboard.
Or will it be FM2+,

I am trying to determine which cpu to get for a friend with a viable uprade path!

This, I need to do this, this has been going on for a year and budget keeps changing. He really needs to decide!

Will come back once I know more, have taken into consideration what people have mentioned.

Essentially its tricky as he wont pay £100 for a dual core CPU, must have quad core or more and ideally wants to pay less. Wont pay for an I5 to expensive, he cannot understand that modern dual cores are not slow ! anyway this is why I ended up looking at AMD.
 
Ok budget of £500 to include os, case etc

Uses photoshop is main priority. and light gaming (minecraft, maybe skyrim later but not fussed on high settings)

Should repost this in general hardware perhaps
