Hi guys about to order a AMD hex cpu this week but I can not make my mind up on the 1090 or the 1100.

It will be going in a MSI 990FX GD80 along with Corsair Vengance 8gb 1600 LP ram.

Well the 1100 has an extra 100MHz, but ideally it's exactly the same, same power usage, bus speeds, architecture and num of cores.
If you don't need the extra 100MHz for rendering or something then just get the 1090. AMD have a silly number of similar CPU's.

I will be using it for gaming ect so will the 100MHz make much of a diffrence

Just noticed posted this in the wrong section opps sorry.

unless youve already got the motherboard i'd go for the i5 2500k. its just a bit better than the 1100T:

however, if you have got the motherboard i'd save your cash and get an X4 955, because most games cant make use of more than 4 cores:

look at the FPS scores, theres barely any difference despite the two extra cores. if you'll be doing a lot of stuff that isnt gaming then obviously the extra cores will help (and of the two i'd get the 1090T)
