AMD Display Driver Install Failed.

I have un installed everything though including going to device manager and un installing the driver that way, now I'm left with no driver and it still says 'failed' on the log after, everything else installs fine apart from the display driver.

Have you booted in to safe-mode and used driver cleaner or similar program whilst in safe-mode?

I had this today... Booted into safe mode used a proper driver cleaner like the one from the guru3d site to remove everything related to amd.. Rebooted.. Installed 14.2 and it all went smooth.

I've tried everything here lads but nothing seems to work, I still get the error at the end of the installation, everything else installs fine apart from the display device. I don't know what to do? My system restore only lets me go back a day so I can't even go back to before I tried to install this.

Go here and Download Display Driver Removal. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=379505

Run it and it will ask you to boot into safe mode, press yes once in safe mode it will load up. Next click on the recommended setting and let it do its job.
It will auto restart and you be back into normal windows now you should have the Standard VGA mode "big Icons"

Continue to install your driver again.

Edit
Sorry see you already used this.

You say you have tried everything, but I have yet to see you confirm whether you have definitely used a driver removal tool whilst in safe mode?

I really don't know what else I can do, I notice when I use the driver uninstall tool it installs a VGA driver when I restart automatically, could that be conflicting with it or?

sounds like Windows is trying to install its own driver over the top of AMD's.

something in the Windows settings. there is a way to fix it, let me do some research.

brb :)

Follow my instructions. Pix included.

First pull the Ethernet out of the back of your computer.

#1 Click on start >> search ' Device Installation Settings ' run it and copy the settings in the screen-shot

#2, unistall the driver as normal (do not restart)

#3 Go to 'Control Panel >> Device manager >> Driver Tab >> Unistall

#4 Run DDU as Admin, select yes when prompted to run in Safe Mode.

#5 When in safe mode Click the first box on the right hand side (Clean driver and reboot) or it says something like that.

#6 Once back in Windows install the AMD driver as normal. Reboot.

#7 reconnect Ethernet.

Even with them settings I still get the VGA driver installing every time I restart?

Windows has the drivers backed up in a role back state, i hate Windows, it just wants to take over once it has its mind set on "i know best"

Have you tried installing the AMD drivers this time?

I need to look at how to stop Windows from rolling back to previous drivers on its own will.
