AMD Display drivers stopped working... oh boy...

I too am convinced that these issues stem from voltage. I have seen this error occur once since I have had my 7950, and it happend when I accidentlally alt + tabbed out of SWTOR whilst it was loading and into a youtube video. The MSI afterburner graph on my second display was showing the card flicking between 2d and 3d clocks, presumably causing the voltage to change quickly.

Never seen it happen again though.

Yes this is a common problem on the 7 series. Was giving me nightmares with my 7870, disabling 2d clocks through the HIS iturbo overclocking utility fixed everything. You can also do it manually by editing your CCC profile. I wish afterburner would just put that setting in. Hopefully HIS iturbo incorporates voltage control in a future update and if it does I'd say it's the best overclocking utility. It's the only thing it's lacking.
