Hi

I have recently switched from ATI to Nvidia GFX Card and it been great, particularly driver wise. Only just noticed that there was a AMD service still running atiedxx.exe which is part "AMD External Events Utilitly" which was still there despite uninstalling eAMD/ATI drivers and manager softwaer etc.

So just stopped and deleted the service using delete sc command prompt. However noticed there still quite a few ati files in the c:\windows\system32\ directory. Wondering if anyone knows a good way to completely remove and clean off the residual files?

Cheers
Kyo

Reading from a few forums some have suggested that we remove all files ati*.* from the system32 directory. This doesnt sound very safe?

Driver sweeper been discontinued and the ATI uninstaller seems to just focus on CCC and driver themselves which may be quite old.

Anyone?

For anyone that is interested.

After you have stopped and uninstalled the service. It was safe in my instance to remove all files starting with ati*.* in c:\windows\system32. Obviously i would recommend that you do this with caution as it could differ from build to build.
