I dont think anyone thought it would not be released, more so whats the point this late on. To get a fastest card trophy?

What a waste of r&d and time and money.

R&D isn't wasted if you learn something from the process.
As for time and money. meh. Polaris could still be some way away. For those with big wallets wanting the best. Well they may well buy this.

The Titan Z was a shocker for the cost. Stupid card. I also think it is a bad time to be releasing a Dual AMD GPU personally. CF seems to be so off lately (as does SLI before I get bashed) and whilst it will be a nice GPU, I feel it will end up causing a few headaches for people.

This card may be ok for those who want crossfire Fury's without the problem of overheating cards, etc. If the price is sub £900 then it might be a winner for 4K gaming. They are aiming it at VR so it will be a good option for someone who wants an extreme high end solution and is not bothered about money.

I know right. Kinda of crazy that my card which is give or take £300 has twice the RAM of this monster.

Ahhh yes but it will show 8gb hbm on the specs

Why it was delayed.

Q. On the E3 Livecast, Lisa committed to shipping Fiji Gemini by Xmas. What happened? Is Fiji Gemini delayed?

A. The product schedule for Fiji Gemini had initially been aligned with consumer HMD availability, which had been scheduled for Q415 back in June. Due to some delays in overall VR ecosystem readiness, HMDs are now expected to be available to consumers by early Q216. To ensure the optimal VR experience, we’re adjusting the Fiji Gemini launch schedule to better align with the market.
Working samples of Fiji Gemini have shipped to a variety of B2B customers in Q415, and initial customer reaction has been very positive.

Such a niche product, not guaranteed to work 100% in all games and micro stuttering. Plus new gen high end cards are never more than a few months away after these.

Yes this was a negative post ;)
