AMD fusion for gaming?

Anyone tried this yet?

Doesnt currently support vista 64.

Basicaly it just seems to shut down all the background stuff in windows and provide overclocking support.

Seems like a load of rubbish to me. I thought fusion was supposed to be a new hardware thing. GP GPU or something. Instead it is a piece of software that shuts down backround processes. My gaming pc has most of them turned off anyway as Windows is already running at the bare minimum.

it may be rubbish for you but its not rubbish for everyone. not everybody can afford a pc dedicated to just gaming.

amd fusion (gpu+cpu) isn't out for a while yet, but amd are starting a PR excersise ahead of its introduction. a potentially useful piece of software like this (after bugs are ironed out) is a good start, but this will all fail if the fusion chip doesn't perform to expectation down the line.
