AMD FX-8120 or FX-8150 which one would you get?

Think I will as well though will be be double the price, much as the 980 was when the 920 came out, for the performance the 980 was a stupid buy at the time

Nah, I should think it'll be a small premium over the launch price of the 8150. It's not going to be insane money.

does titan fenrir fit these newer boards are they same as am3

great cooler and thinking of keeping it if i upgrade to bd

Spacing is the same from AM3 to AM3+ - so yes it'll fit mate - provided you don't have anything else getting in the way (i.e. RAM etc)

I will be hanging tight, first to see if they're worth getting at all, and then if there is any variation in overclocks between the 8120 and 8150.

Why wont they be worth getting?
If youre in the market for a new cpu, and by that i mean someone like me who has a dual core, then it would ideally be cost for me. AMD's have always been cheaper. with gaming its more GPU than CPU, so i might even get it because its cheaper to maintain than an intel cpu.

id get the 8170

Well, with gaming you might find that the 2500K is cheaper and quicker.

Hmm i doubt that. Some benchmarks have come out a while back. Theyre not speculative. Check em out. Dirt 3

Lol.

I've kept my "speculation" pretty consistent throughout.

8150 should render the 2600k a bad purchase for 8 threaded app's.
In 1-4 threaded app's, a 2500k will beat it ; Majority of programs.

Lets wait and see, just 7 more days if the hype is right!
I am interested in the intel pricing, will they cut the price of their 2500k and 2600k?
