AMD FX 8320 analysis

Except that run is full of stutters. It's the same with the 4670K, but even worse.

The benchmarks from the 8320 and 4770K are miles better.

Yup definitely. I've not seen a single game yet that doesn't perform better on my 8320, even at 4.2ghz (my old pre blown up by a bad cable PC).

I've been on Windows 8 now for ages. To me it's what has made all of the difference.

Can't wait to bench Sleeping Dogs now (because I have the scores from the Xeon) but that needs to download a serious chunk of data :( When you install it you basically get half on the install disc then it downloads the other half

I buy my games on media because I can install them and for the most part not have to bother with the internet. I can either just connect for long enough to activate the game. But some games now are really annoying.

Get faster broadband :p It won't be long before we can't buy media copies I expect.

I like collecting them man. Kinda like in a hoarding way but not that obsessive (they're all away where you can't see them). But yeah, tend to like having something physical.

As for internet? still waiting on fibre :D sadly the storm has caused BT a load of crap it seems so December 3rd it is :( This connection I'm on is a leased line (some poor sod is providing it off his bandwidth).

Plenty of use there. Odd spike on one of the cores mind.. I'm beginning to think that loads are spread around much better in Windows 8. I'm seeing 8 cores being used when I really shouldn't, which is starting to make me think that Windows 8 (given it supports the FX series properly and has had work done to make it so) is really the only way on an FX 8.

Looking at Batman it's clear it's probably only using a core or two. Which is a shame because Batman AA (the first one) worked with Quafire so they've obviously put in the legwork for GPUs.

SD? I can't try that one on my SLI rig. Batman I can, but it means shifting a 20gb file :S
