Perhaps it's just because i've gotten older but i don't see why people get all that excited about new hardware now, sure back in the day we had good jumps in performance and new features but now not so much.
If you look at hardware as modules which give a certain amount of performance for a given price it all starts to look a lot less interesting, like that black box gives 30% more fps for only £500 over my old black box, wow that's amazing!

It's only because i've needed one for years now that im even looking, i just wish hardware would give us more for our money each gen or reduce prices to something more reasonable, i mean it's all the same materials at the end of the day regardless of how fast one is vs another.
