Hey guys,

Just been monitoring my temps on the "new" setup. It is a ACER 9070.

Im doing basic PC tasks and my CPU temp is decent for a 9800X3D but the GPU is hovering around 50c ish??? is that not a bit high?

Oh, yeah it has Zero RMP fan mode on too.

With nothing on the desktop it should be at around 16Mhz and jump and hover at around 90-400Mhz region running a tab like this forum.

What do you mean by "basic PC tasks"? If you're watching videos, for example, it will use the GPU and that can sometimes push it up to the temperature where the fans come on and then turn off again.

sorry, yeah, on youtube, spotify, firefox, discord email, and steam..

temps are spectacular on gaming though, both the CPU and GPU!

Fan profile is set by the manufacturer 50c is normal for cards these days as low noise seems to sell cards better than low temperatures if you want lower temps set a custom fan profile

I've have a look at task manager while you're using them (especially youtube), because I expect that's what is happening. It is being used for video, reaching near the temp limit for zero-RPM, turning on fans until it reaches 40-45 and then back off again.

The video resolution and codec does make a difference to GPU usage.
