AMD Kaveri APU Arriving For Desktop PCs in Q4 2013 – Kaveri Graphics Demonstrated With New Virtual R

The ASRock motherboard which had issues was an A75 based one with a 3+1 phase VRM with no cooling.

The A85 based one has a 4+2 phase VRM,cooling and a different components. My mate has been using two of them for the last few months with an A10 and an Athlon II X4. So,far they have been fine being on almost 24/7 AFAIK.

I'm confused teppic, a 4670k and 7850 will walk all over Kaveri (for the money, you'd expect nothing less)... Surely selling up and buying an FM2+ board plus an unknown Kaveri chip APU will leave you out of pocket and with a less powerful system

I expect a Kaveri based system could be made much smaller.

My main system is mini-ITX,ie,a Xeon E3 and a GTX660,but I could probably use a Wesena case(or something along those lines),with a picoPSU with Kaveri. That would make a very nice secondary system IMHO.

I decided I didn't really want a high powered ITX system, I'd rather have it as a media/general system with maybe some light gaming capabilities. So I'm probably going to sell my ITX board, the 4670K and the 7850, and just put an FM2+ board and Kaveri in.
