AMD "Never Settle" 12.11 Driver - benchmarks

Well 3 hours on bf3 at 1125/1575 and no artifacts thats 25 higher than before these drivers - full ultra and it's #supersmooth

I've had mixed emotions about buying my 7970 on launch day (powercolor reference), but i think that's gonna be me for graphics cards for sometime to come

So glad i didn't swap it for a 680 when it looked like that was gonna be the card for bf3 and overclocking in CCC i may be missing out on 75 on both the core and memory, but it's also so much less hassle.

Nice one AMD.

At the moment on my Gigabyte i have got it upto 1150core/1600mem on stock 1174mv, i know the voltage is higher than Ref cards probably because mines 1000mhz stock.

Seems like the 2d idle clock bug that some users experience is caused by using DVI. Try connecting to HDMI and the problem goes away.

I get a terrible picture on my monitor with hdmi sadly so its not an option for me.

Hoping they can get beta 5 out shortly with a fix.

Can somebody with crossfire 7970s post their GPU usage in BF3 at 1080p.

I'm getting 50-75% on both cards. Framerate is high though.

Mine goes from about 55-80% on 64 players normally. When there is 24 people or less scaling is at 90-95%.

CPU usage rarely goes over 70% average and up to 90% in rare cases. It's never gone over 90% though. This is why I'm selling one 7970.

While utilisation is lower than previous drivers framerates are higher, which points to a bottleneck somewhere but with the CPU rarely going past the 70's I'd be inclined to look at PCI-E 3.0 next tbh.

I would have thought 1.7v would be fine given that it is within AB limits, which means MSI officially warrant it if it has been overclocked within AB limits (if you have an MSI card), so I doubt MSI would warrant it if it was unsafe.
