AMD "Never Settle" 12.11 Driver - benchmarks

:(

You'd better get in touch with wherever you did buy them from.

I did. Just wanted to check if they should've been included. There is a note about codes being e-mailed by 2nd December, but i'm sure I've seen people selling them on the MM with physical 'leaflets' in the photos.

Due to reported issues on X79 boards, I'm thinking I may go back to my original plan and go with 670 SLI :(

Was sorta looking forward to the change too (been with Nvidia for a while).

Well I went from beta4 to beta7.
Wow Still got graphic bug on 2 sorts of mobs. And one Paladin spell.
Heaven crashed on third run when i ran it no problems on beta4. I think back to beta4 or try beta 6 hmmm

What are these reported issues on X79?

My understanding is that running a x79 board with crossfire 7900 cards and eyefinity display causes some games to crash. The time it takes varies from game to game. It also seems, from what I can gather that it may also affect single cards and single displays, but takes longer before it happens.

Has anyone had any issues with video playback on these drivers? I had to disable GPU acceleration on the flash player in firefox to get rid of it green screening and occasionally the desktop player Splash Pro i use for bluray format movies is causing driver crashes when it's enabled in there too, when that happens even VLC player then only plays with a green screen until the PC is rebooted. Been the same with beta 4's and beta 7's. Everything else is fine other than that.

Guys, i'm setting my 7970 to 1.84v in afterburner 2.25, running a stress test, and gpu-z only reads the vddc as 1.129v max, does this mean my card is voltage locked? Afterburner reports what i set it at 1.184v and not a pinch lower, msi kombustor reports the voltage at 1.170v. The stock voltage of my card at 3d is supposed to be 1.174v. What's going on? Lol.

1.84v?????

My bad, Core @ 1.187v =)

And before there's a flood of advice against stress testing, I ran my 1100/1575 @ stock 1.74v through Heaven 10x times, using Ltmatt's recommended config, tess - normal, aa - 4x , res 1080p, and not a hiccup. Played Sleeping Dogs last night, 30 minutes into the game i was seeing black lines reaching up the the sky, they started popping up one by one, then black screen, came back on with ati display has stopped working message. Temps were never over 70c, so much for Heaven.

just to be clear you mean 1.187, not 1.87, right? if you mean 1.87 and it's not going above 1.29, i'd imagine that's because 1.29 is really high to begin with.

Omg house is on fire, lol hahahahaa,

Gosh why do I keep on doing that? I've missed out 1 in almost all volts i mentioned :o

Yep, 1.187v :)

Fellow 7xxx users.

I seemed to have gained a few fps onto my minimum fps since the upgrade to windows 8. This is using the 12.11 beta 7 drivers on windows 7 and 8.

I was using lower clock speeds in windows 8.

I noticed the same in battlefield 3.

Nothing huge, but worth mentioning.

Windows 7

Windows 8

EDIT

Damn on my windows 8 bench i had afterburner enforcing a 58fps limit by mistake. The averages and maximums would deffo be higher if it wasnt for that.

Beta 8 on the way, more performance improvements. :)

Crossfire fixes for games that aren't released yet, amd really are stepping up :)

Huge improvement on last year's "wait 2 months then fix it" attitude :)

Just picked up a 7950 again as not really liking nvidia stuff.

Glad to see all these improvements since last I used 7950/7970. Just wish I had gotten 2 7950's though. Just not sure how well they will play together inside an SG03...

Well I spoke to soon the crashes and lock ups have started.:(

My lower card is randomly stopping completely,
swapped cards over and the same happens.

Pity really as everything was looking good.

So it looks like a X79 mobo issue with AMD cards running
Eyefinity as others reported.

Ah well, found Sapphire Vapor-X OC boost at good price, so decided to go dual. And get one for other half....

Hopefully case can handle it, though I won't be pushing for major OC's. Certainly not going to be playing with voltages.

Sorry to hear that mate :(
Part of me was still tempted to try it and see, don't think I will now.
X79 has been a bit of a disappointment for me, first no official PCI-e 3.0 (I know quite often it will work) and now this. Z77 would probably have been a better option for me in retrospect!

asus only boards x79 or others also?
I know asus had some issues due to some bug introduced.
