amd + nvidia for shadow play

just wondering is it possible to use amd for rendering in mantel and a secondary nvdia card for shadow play? i know it was possible to use nvidia as physx card back a few years ago just wondering if its possible to use it as recording card today.

Probably not, as nVidia doesn't want AMD anywhere near their GPUs and block PhysX when there is an AMD card present, so probably will do the same for ShadowPlay.

Good question, but sadly with ShadowPlay to work it also needs the game being rendered on the GPU..

OP why don't you just use Raptr? it does same as SP by encoding on the GPU giving you less performance hit and the quality for me is best out there.

Use the AMD Gaming Evolved App, it has the same thing as Shadow Play and records/streams Mantle.

SP doesn't launch when using AMD for rendering, you simply get a pop up informing you it needs an Nvidia gpu-wasn't expecting it to though, like greg said, Nvidia lock out certain features with AMD present in the system.
