Chiphell forums is the source of various leaks, may it be related to graphics or processors. Today, Chiphell users have got some really interesting details to share regarding AMD’s upcoming desktop processors. We know that AMD is currently working on to release their latest 28nm Steamroller based Kaveri APUs in 2014 but it looks like AMD has a well kept secret which has been hidden until now.

The FX9xxx ~5GHz chips kind of hammered the nail in the FX nomenclature... They could go with FX10420/50/70, or they could bring back the Phenom brand and retire the once great FX name for another few years :p

My BS detector is going off at this though. I can see 12c/12t and even 6GHz top stock clock but 75w? No way. I wouldn't mind a play with such a chip even if it were 200w+...

OP why would you even post this, did you really think it was even slightly credible?

It's like posting a link to a 'rumour' about a new Volkswagen that does 300mph with a 1.6 litre engine. :p

I could see 12 Jaguar cores fitting in a 75w envelope, couldn't see them hitting 6ghz at retail though.

25nm, that gave it away, no one has a 25nm node.

Intel and Micron manufacture NAND at 25nm, but NAND works at strange nodes (before 25nm was 34nm and 50nm).

It's an obvious fake because CPU-Z wouldn't have the database information for stuff like the socket, code name, TDP etc.

If this was truly a top secret processor then CPU-Z wouldn't show half of the information until it has been updated.

This, all that information is not pulled from the Chip or BIOS, its has to be hard coded into CPU-Z once that Data is available, if its a secrete Chip there is no Data to fill in, it will simply fill in the clock speed, cache and that's about it.

TDP, naming ecte.... should be blank.

Its fake.

Would be good if AMD did have that up their sleeve, but I suspect only Intel could come close to producing such a beast.

Oi Intel, as a video encoder that is what I want.. yesterday, no.. a year ago.. chop chop :)

AMD couldn't pull that off. More like 6GHz @ 750W. :p

Utter ********, you can even tell that the CPU-Z screen has been screwed around with. It isn't even the right font is it?

The naming conventions whoever is preying on the gullible here chose are litterally the generic things you would type in if you wanted to dream about future CPU's.
