AMD Pr thingy

There you go...

If I clock it up to 2750, the PR rating goes up to 4526+

A nice utility in which the main purpose is to calculate AMD PR ratings for CPU's from the Duron to the A64.

Matt Barney has created a nice utility in which the main purpose is to calculate AMD PR ratings for CPU's from the Duron to the A64.

The Quantispeed calculator has full support of Morgan, Palomino, T-Bred, Barton and AMD64 processors, and fully supports overclocked front side bus speeds with unrivalled accuracy for all modes. Added is a CPU stepping decoder which lists all known details about your specific CPU, a full list of stock AMD AthlonXP and Athlon64 settings so you can see how much performance you're gaining from that higher FSB, and a clutter-free small version which can be invoked from the command line or from the main interface.
I haven't installed it so don't know if it any use though.

it's the same for all Opterons?
Yup, mine shows *series* also.

As far as PR rating go I'm not 100% on how it works, but I know that extra cache boosts the numbers. .

This is my take on the PR rating of a mono core using 1Mb cache:

3700+ 2.2GHz (1MB cache)
3900+ 2.4GHz (1MB cache)*
4100+ 2.6GHz (1MB cache)
4300+ 2.8GHz (1MB cache)
4500+ 3.0GHz (1MB cache)

*Lol somehow this ain't quite right, as according to AMD the 4000+ runs at 2.4GHz???
