amd r9 290

excellent so the driver looks like its installed ok and is talking to the card ok ... what you need to do is run a game in window mode so you can see the CCC window and see what happens to your CPU and Mem clock as you play the game ... they should go up.

Also as this is a new build have you unplugged the power cables from the GPU and plugged them both back in firmly ?just make sure each cable in the plugs is in place and has not been pushed out as you plugged the power blocks into the card.

i somewhat solved the problem by using a 13.12 version of the drivers and can play rift on mid settings but at random points the screen will go black and then restore and then go white and fuzzy, sometimes it recovers saying amd driver has stopped responding . but it was worse off with the new beta drivers

the wires were fine, although the left pci power cable didnt fully slip in as it was out al il on the left but i heard a click when i pushed it in, do you think that may have solved it?

Ok then the next things to check are your system temps have you got the MB utility installed? what temps are you seeing for CPU ?

Also did CCC GPU clock go up and the mem Clock when gaming ?

And what game are you testing with ?

im testing with rift gpu clock went to 950 memory went to 1250, im testing on RIFT (mmorpg) and il download mb utility now
