AMD R9 290X As Fast As Titan X in DX12 Enabled 3DMark – 33% Faster Than GTX 980

DX12 support has just been added to 3DMark showing unbelievable results with DX12 delivering up to 20 times faster performance than DX11. AMD Radeon graphics cards are showing the most significant gains compared to their Nvidia GeForce GTX counterparts.

It explicitly states in the description of the test in the 3dmark software to not use it to compare graphics cards.

On the video from the other PC place online, they said that it wasn't good for comparing what GPU was best? Mainly to see how the CPU's were handling the multi-threading? or did i miss interpret this?

Do not compare GPUs vs each other only % increases of the same GPU with different CPUs and DX11 vs DX12 draw calls.

Its an overhead benchmark and does not translate to raw game performance.. dont read to much into this.

The most impressive thing is DX12 comfortably beating Mantle, considering Microsoft are supporting more than just a single architecture you'd expect DX12 to have more overheads for the wider compatibility so it's either credit to Microsoft or shame on AMD.
