*** AMD RADEON 6500 XT IN STOCK @ OcUK FOR £179.99 (PRICE SUPPORTED STOCK NOW SOLD OUT) ***

AMD needs something like this, but closer to the Xbox Series S spec.

On paper, the RX 6500 XT should be slightly faster, but it has a just 4GB of VRAM and lower memory bandwidth. Compare here:

Basically a 6nm improved version of the RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT.

The PC graphics market seems broken, because currently these graphics cards are significantly more expensive than the Series S console.

The price on the RX 6500 XT seems alright though, it's lower than a Series S.

in the current market not bad really but 4GB is like going backwards. hopefully the rtx3050 will not be much more come the 27 jan.

If the warranty is the only thing going for it versus used cards, it's not a great situation :o I'd have rather had a 6600 XT at (admittedly available for about 2 minutes) launch price, a much more powerful and efficient card that isn't so badly hampered by PCI-E 3.0.

I think if Nvidia can sell the RTX 3050 8GB for £300 or less, that would be reasonable value.

It looks like AMD is going to struggle at the low end. The TFlop advantage that Ampere cards have will be hard to beat.

Ordered a Sapphire version earlier while at work... Just got back and saw the reviews.

Live and learn. :/

If you got the promo price and have a PCIe4 motherboard, it might well be a decent deal in today's market. You might as well try it out!

Crap then, not worth it. Isn't the RTX 3060 already sold for around £400?

EDIT - Nope these are silly money...

Only if you pray to the FE gods for a drop.

I think OcUK might have the cheapest 3060 in stock of any competitor with the carbon card from KFA2:

KFA2 GeForce RTX 3060 1-Click OC LHR 12GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card @ £578.99 inc VAT https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kfa2...ddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-0al-kf.html

36NOL7MD1VOK, Boost Clock: 1792MHz, Memory 12GB 15000MHz GDDR6, Cuda Cores: 3584, VR Ready, PhysX/CUDA Enabled, NVIDIA Ampere, 8nm Process, Real-Time Ray Tracing, 2 Years Warranty.

These 3060 are selling extremely fast at this price point.

I really can't wait for the GPU market to come tumbling down on itself, and people desperately undercutting each other trying to sell on their overpriced cards once the second hand market is totally flooded as well. It's like a dam waiting to burst, you can see the build up and the swell, but the people in the village at the bottom are blissfully unaware, until BOOM! everything swept away. Might not be this year, but it will happen and second hand prices will be in the gutter for years.

Except that wont happen, ever.
