Trouble is, 8700k can be 20/30fps+ ahead at 1440p in some games at 1440p. If you need the extra cores for productivity then it's def worth it.

Yes, with the better CPU's having the better cooler.
There won't be any. Intel roadmaps have been reveleaed and there won't be a major release for desktop CPU this year.
The only response can be price changes, and that's just not gonna happen with Intel.

@Gibbo Not a big deal as people can just search on X470, but maybe on the OcUK website you can add a filter for X470 Chipset Motherboards?

I hope the MSI Ryzen mobos are good as the previous generation was a bit meh
Seems to perform OK
Comments has some guy with almost 1.7v and 4.5ghz.
I'm thinking 4.5 is not a healthy goal.
Well there are leaks of 5.8ghz on Ln2 on msi boards so they can't be that bad.
Depends how good the chip is. 1.7v is too much but I would run 1.5v.

No Gigabyte X470 offerings on the OcUK site yet, or am I just being blind?

How did you find them? When I do a search on X470 it only brings up Asus motherboards?

Yeah works that way, but doing it via X470 in the search bar they don't appear, same with the MSI X470 motherboards. Hate the OcUK website sometimes.
