how comes he would need a new gpu?
Thanks for confirming mate.It will be on a different socket, plug in a cheaper CPU now and later add cheap upgrades. A decent B550 should take a 4000 series 16C.
Until recently he was using the gpu from the 2200g but as he wanted to play the division 2 the on board wasn’t going to cut it. This was at the time using a hdmi port on the mobo.I think the assumption was that you were using the 2200g for VGA as well, hence if you upgraded it you'd need a new graphics card.
Thanks for confirming mate.
Think i'll stick with my B350 and change mobo next year with the new socket.
Well there where such incredible value until the massive price increases..... 22.5% rise in the 3300x .... so glad I got mine on preorder
Sorry, I was having a bad blonde moment, I thought the 3300x had a built in gpu but after double checking it doesn’t.I think the assumption was that you were using the 2200g for VGA as well, hence if you upgraded it you'd need a new graphics card.
