AMD RYZEN 5000 SERIES 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X NOW ONLINE AT OcUK!!

Just a quick email to say whilst not necessarily the cheapest, i've recently taken the opportunity to buy my components for my new computer from Overclockers due solely to the fact you're keeping us forum members regularly informed on progress about issues on new stock.

I've had endless frustration elsewhere for the benefit of a tiny saving and truely believe that the customer experience here should be replicated elsewhere, individuals would be much more likely to be loyal and patient!

Anyway - enjoy a well earned break from the world of stock chasing!

Thanks,
A happy client.

Luckily I've now ordered my new 5600X from another shop yesterday. Should be able to collect on Monday. Woop woop.

Also noticed they had 3080s in-stock but not bothered about upgrading GPU until maybe 4000 series / RDNA3. My Vega56 is fine for the moment. :)

Good luck everyone, stay safe and have a great Christmas!!

5800x is in stock by the mass just need to look my man

You didn’t read what I put. I wasn’t looking for one.

just got had an email, apparently, the system missed my queue update email. Mine’s shipped this morning, and will be arriving next day delivery. to anyone still waiting, I’ll see you on the flip.

I like how I tried preordering a 5800x from somewhere and they took my money immediately, for a possible December 30th delivery then had an update a few days later that they would it would be delivered on 23rd instead, but then today I get an update, that its undeliverable, and they would be refunding my money, and now the preorders back up again for the 30th, but I can't get the preorder because they've got my money and it will probably take 7 days to refund it. How does that even make any sense and why did I even try?

Far Cry code - I posted in the support forum and had a reply about 15 mins later asking for my order number which I had stupidly forgotten to provide and promising to email it to me shortly.

Well I received my Ryzen 5 5600x today (21st Dec), ordered on the 6th of November, I for one have no problem with Overclockers, it's the first time I've ever ordered from them and am very happy with the service. I want to say thank you to all at overclockers for their work and effort over the last two months to get all our orders to us.
I wouldn't hesitate ordering again from overclockers. Also when I opened the box I don't know what I was happier with, the ryzen 5 or the packet of haribo that was included :).
Happy Christmas to everyone, stay safe.

More on the Far Cry saga.
Overclockers support came up with a claim code. It was in the 4th email I received but that's OK because they warned me there would be ignorable junk.
Went to AMD to make the claim.
Stage 1: Create an account at AMD. You are then warned it might take up to 48 hours to establish your account.
Stage 2: Wait for account details from AMD. Next day, still no details. Search and find them in spam folder.
Stage 3: Submit your code. Nothing happens. Repeat. Nothing happens. Remember definition of insanity and do not repeat again - try another browser. It works in Chrome.
Stage 4: A popup appears saying you need to download a Product Verification Tool. Click OK. Popup vanishes and nothing happens. Resubmit code. This time click on the words Product Verification Tool. It downloads.
Stage 5: Install and run PVT. It asks for the code. Submit code.
Stage 6: PVT says "Coupon code limit has been reached. Contact support to request an increase to this limit"
Stage 7: Open ticket, vaguely aware that somewhere between stages 2 and 3 there had been a warning about long delays in responding to support requests.
Stage 8: Write this warning note for the information and amusement of fellow OC customers.
Stage 9: Cat jumps on desk and heads for keyboard which he regards as the most comfortable place in the house to cat-nap. Desperately finish post touchtyping with 15lb Siberian Forest Cat laying over my wrists. This is my one unique skill, although on this occasion he has added slapping me across the face with his tail which makes the process even harder.

The game better be worth the hassle.

Smiffy-UK, glad you enjoyed the tale. It is absolutely true and without exageration.

To complete the story, the cat has now departed but in his usual fashion has somehow reconfigured the computer. This time the task bar has been reconfigured, apparently to show my least-used applications. Makes a change - he usually leaves it in some strange shift state which makes it impossible to use without unplugging and reconnecting the keyboard. Sometimes even that is not enough and I have to reboot the system.
