No salt. Just disappointment that once again processors have been listed and sold out ahead of the time when OC said they would be listed.

there is a difference between being disapointed which is fair, and calling to have my order not honored, thats petty. Sorry you didn't get what you want. Not going to discuss this anymore. All the best of luck to everyone!

Changed my order from TUF B650 to ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI. This board looks great and has most of the features I want. I would love to have Usb 4 and power delivery on the front panel but Asus boards with those are £200-£300 more.

I'm sure you would feel the same if you have waited for hours spamming F5 in forum and website then you find out someone got in through back door

I also got that motherboard too, looks great and has a load of features. Looks like it'll last a long time through AM5 too so hopefully I'll get a nice upgrade down the line with it.

Yup let’s hope AMD will keep AM5 socket for few cpu generations like they did with AM4.
Not 100% sure if my current CPU cooler (Peerless Assassin 120SE) will work on AM5 as it isn’t listed on the box or on manufacturer’s website but I read at least one report saying that it does.
If it doesn’t I should be able to 3D print an adapter but don’t know how it will cope with temperature.

hopefully, even if we get 2 new generations of CPU realistically we are sorted for 8 years. especially those of us with PCI-E 5

I forget the rule but it's something like if it doesn't need a backplate to fit then it will work as you can't remove them on am5 motherboards.
