** AMD SHOP EVENT: THE DEALS MENU!! **

Personally I'm crying a little inside that these are actual deals and not the RRP like they should be.

because lets face it, if we were a shop, we wouldnt want to make a profit!

im guessing AMD are actually doing these units cheaper for OCUK so that they can sell them at this price, some of these prices are silly... id say some are cheaper than they usually buy the products in at?

Where about do you report to security? Are they on the gates near the entrance to the industrial estate?

I would have thought that AMD just compensate OCUK to what they would normally make. AMD see's this as a bit of cheap advertisement.

At the end of the business park, there is hut, only the first person here needs to report to it.

RRP means Recommended retail price, it's the price the manufacturer intends the product to be sold for including retailers purchase costs and profit.

The fact a R280X is on sale today for almost the same price the HD7950 (R280 non-X) cost a year ago only appears to be a great deal because of how high GPU prices are today (Don't get me wrong it IS a great deal, but only because normal prices are such a bad deal).

I paid the same ex-VAT price for a OC GTX460 here back in Dec 2010, at the time that was in the same performance bracket where the R280X now sits...

Caught Gibbo lining up the deals earlier!

Arrived 8.50pm, waited for security guy to get back from patrol, had a chat with him about where to stand and the location of public toilets. Now getting lonely and considering grabbing a subway before they close.

Great stuff guys (Ocuk staff) wish I could be there but too far and costly and have family commitments anyway. Thanks for the 'extra' online deals Ocuk, you guys do go the extra mile for your customers and it is appreciated, have a great day tomorrow. :D

Yep. This is the first time I've done this type of thing. All I had to go on was the thread for the showroom opening event.

Things began to get interesting recently when I started quoting Monty Python to myself. :)

How many are there? Im coming down but im not planning to get there just yet.
