AMD Six Core Prices and Clock Speeds Unearthed

Its vid is 1.425v...
Not the voltage required to overclock to 3.85GHZ, which might not even be stable.
And I only need 1.375v for 3.9GHZ... 1.425V at 3.85GHZ isn't going to impress me.

The X4 955BE and 965BE are the top binned X4 900 series parts currently and have unlocked multipliers too. The X6 1090T and X6 1095T are bound to overclock a better IMHO.

Try hitting 4GHZ with an X4 925 or X4 945 and it won't be as easy.

3.8 on 6 cores is nothing to be laughed at! These chips ain't aimed at knocking the gaming crown where pure mhz matters - It's truly multithreaded apps that are going to see its benefit.

Looking forward to better oc-ing attempts obviously but here goes for the time being:

comparing his scores @ 3.8 (bearing in mind my mild overclock 224x17=3.82- I compare as follows with sisoft sandra:

MY SCORES VS HIS
Aggregate Memory performance (mine @ DDR3-1500): 14Gb v's his 17Gb

Aggregate Arithmetic Performance 49GOPS v 73.78GOPS
Drystone ALU 54GIPS v 81GIPS
Whetstone iSSE3 43.85GFLOPS v 66.55GFLOPS

Aggregate Multi-Media Performance : 143.3MPixel/s v 216.11
Multi-Media Integer x16 aSSE2 : 177.73MPixel/s v 269.5
Multi-Media Float x8 iSSE2 : 108.88MPixel/s v 162.71
Multi-Media Double x4 iSSE2 : 59MPixel/s v 89.45

Looks good to me - i'd be more than happy with 6 x 3.8 instead of 4 x 3.8 for 24/7 use at the temps and volts he's showing thats pretty darn gud!

Well, got my new mobo in ready, swiped a Sempron 140 from a friend, and now all flashed and ready to go with the 2004 BIOS.

Just need the chips to hit the shops now... /taps foot

mate, u can't compare your chip to that for 2 reasons, 1. you've got one of the lower stock voltage chip of the 965 and has very healthy cores... 2. the 1055T as 2 extra cores so of course it may have slightly higher stock voltage

Not to mention that the VID very rarely reads correctly if you've changed the stock voltage in bios.

That was only the 1055T though guys, I want to see benches for a 1090T BE! They've hit 4.2Ghz I think (It might be 4Ghz) but with 2 cores disabled, pretty pointless to do that imo lol.

We will see when there released! Speaking of releases, anyone know when there due in the UK?

Mine also always shows up correct, just very minor fluctuations so 1.55 might read as 1.5475 at the very lowest.
