AMD speedstep equivalent.

Has AMD replaced cool and quiet? Wondering as my OC does not act like speedstep, my temps are still cool as a cucumber but still rather everything downclocked when merely surfing the net etc.

What are you using to read the clocks? A few of the monitoring programs don't read ryzen clocks properly. Have a look here: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/ryzen-not-down-clocking.18885653

Cool and quiet should still work though shouldn't it? Unless it got turned off when you OC'd.

Does not exist in my bios. Just have global states that does nothing.

Apparently on Asrock boards it's called PSS instead, under advanced / CPU Configuration. If that is enabled it should be downclocking. Have you tried ryzen master? It's probably the most accurate for reading clock speeds.

i thought it was using offset mode which lowered volts ?

If you're using the Ryzen balanced power plan it won't let it clock down that far...

oh no it works but i think it works the same regardless of where you set min cpu state
mine downclocks etc fine if i set it to whatever i like or 99% min
ive stuck it back on 99 and its behaving the same as 25%

I think it works different on ryzen right ? setting 99% min only stands for 1 core under certain circumstances right ?
