Interesting read, will probably never happen but imagine the type of cool stuff they could be putting together if it did

All you would need is for them to merge with a manufacturer like asus, then you have one major hardware company.
Least there would be no incompatabilities

The Forbes story is for AMD buying ATI, not a merger. The name would therefore stay as AMD, surely?
