My present system that i've had for a few years -

AMD Phenom II X3 720
ASUSTeK M4A79XTD EVO (AM3)
4GB G.skil ddr3
120GB SSD (6 months old)
GTX670 2GB (8 months old)

upgrading to -

Intel Core I5-3470
(not going to overclock so saving a few ££ over the 3570k and only a few FPS less)

Crucial Ballistix BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU 8GB (4GB x2) DDR3

Gigabyte SKT-1155 Z77-DS3H Motherboard

All for less than £250
(obviously keeping the SSD and GFX card)

the motherboard is the cheapest 1155 Z77 board i could find but is it any good ???

can anyone recommend any other products that are within a £250-£300 budget ??

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Isnt the i5- 3470 the eco model (like the i5-2400 out of the SB line up)?

Even though your not looking to OC, surely having the option there for the future would make sense? Higher base clock and then a simple OC to bring new life to it in a year or 2.

If your thinking about the money, can always go for the 2500k?

Thank you for the quick replies :)

the 2500k is the same money as the 3570k so no saving to be had.

might 'pull the trigger' on the setup i mentioned :D
