Afternoon, hopefully after many months of search and refreshing websites I'n finally getting a 3070Ti to replace my ageing R9 390. Is there a way to ensure that drivers are completely removed and I have no issues without reinstalling windows?

Download the latest AMD driver and run the installation when you get to the advanced opinion select clean installation, PC will restart now cancel the driver from installing.

Or you could use DDU display driver uninstaller in safe mode

Download latest nvidia drivers from nvidia
Uninstall AMD drivers from Control Panel
Switch PC off remove card
install new card
Install Drivers

job done

Why dont people trust the native uninstaller in this day and age is beyond me.

I'm amazed to see the trend these days how so many swear by DDU like a cleansing ritual.

I was always told not to use it period as it can nuke entries it isn't supposed to remove.
