I just put my 7950 Crossfire to 800MHZ (Quad pump it) on the memory, I can't see any performance drop, I know I'm GDDR5 at 384 bit, but a 7950 is multitudes faster than a 7750, so the performance drop might not be too much, that was Heaven 1920x1080 8x AA.
He may even be able to clock his memory to possible overcome any potential problem.
I guess we can only see when it comes.
