AMD Turbo Core Technology or Overclocking?

Since I don't know the first thing about overclocking, would I be better off using the AMD Turbo Core Technology?

My specs;

AMD Athlon X4 860K Black Edition @ 3.7GHz (stock speed)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Gigabyte F2A88X-D3H
Corsair Vengeance 12GB @ 1600MHz
MSI Radeon R7 260X 2GB OC Edition
500GB Seagate Pipeline
Cooler Master GM 650w

If you can get turbo core to a decent speed then why not? I use turbo boost for Intel, I don't see the point of running a hot overclocked chip when you can use the power only when necessary.

That does make sense, but I'd still like to learn about overclocking one day. Voltages are what scare me about overclocking and even AMD Overdrive doesn't tell you the best voltage for your desired overclock :[

keep the voltage sensible and an eye on the temps you will be fine

I don't know the first thing about overclocking and I don't know what a "sensible" voltage even is. I'm not even aware what a voltage is for.
