No update on the "specially binned" portion of this advert? Because I've emailed AMD and they have confirmed the 50th anniversary 2700x is not a specially binned or selected die...

What do you mean? If you put the Lisa su sticker on your case you automatically get and extra 10fps.

Surprised this hasn't launched at towards the end of the 2*** series( first quarter this year). Didn't Lisa Su state they may have something else up their sleeve depending on what the competition did? Made me think if they had something they'd probably launch it later, unless it wasn't really planned or manufacturing cost much higher so really wanted to avoid it. Probably other reasons too but probably wasn't even planned IMO. Intel competed on 8 core performance but way out there on pricing, so the 2700X was enough.
 
Those SPECIAL 2700x are same as normal 2700x with bling that is useless. But 2 games make it worth grab over stock if interested in both of them.
@Distracted I think I'm only person at OCUK with actually binned 2700x gain is better imc allowing me to run 3600cl14 and 50mhz more. Expected more my 3700x will be from OCUK cause AMD runs them cpus at almost max out of box.
