i have my FX-6300 stable at 4.41Ghz.
i have used intel burntest for testing as a like the LinX based testers.
my only concern in the VCore is at 1.485000 in bios. HW monitor told me i maxxed at 1.496v.
after running 10 tests HW monitor says the CPU hit 53c

Is all of this ok with an AIR cooler or do i need to town down the VCore and find a clock to match

1.55v is ok with a serious cooler, I wouldn't run it 24/7 on a cheap jobby though

those volts for that clock though, you have a pretty poor chip

no matter what i do i cant get 4.4 or 4.5 under 1.45v. and it not really stable till 1.49.
4.2/4.25 is stable at 1.35 so i think i will stay with my original clock.

No I have overclocked by frequency @ 4.4 turned off turbo core and all power saving options and haven't had to touch the voltages I will screen shot it when I get home for you to see. Max temp gaming is only 45 in game

If you dont touch voltage that means its on auto, the bios will over volt for you, and bios dose always OVER volt

open CPUz run a stress test then screen shot you are prob just under max v core

uuumm listen mate that is uncalled for i am just giving advice to what i have done the ios does not always overvolt your bios for you and if you look at other people they have done the same my Vcore is 1.37v and CPU core.

I hope Admn reads this as well because calling names is uncalled for when you are trying to give friendly advice

hahaha, nothing was meant by it.
What i am saying is if you put it as stock it will over volt. look at CPUz
at ideal it will be 0.900 then under load 1.49. that what auto volt dose.
there is NO way your running 8 cores @4.4 under load 1.24V
